(Author’s note: if you haven’t read the earlier parts of this story, you should read that first before enjoying this story. Start with “Just Another Day At The Office”. --- “Why do I have to wear this stupid thing?”  Sam exclaimed, for probably the tenth time since they left camp that morning. “Because until ‘J’ vouches for you, we can’t take any chances”, Eli replied. “What, you think I’m working for the Drekons?” “No, Sam – but the resistance is vulnerable.  The less folks that know where we are based, the safer we’ll all be.  Besides, we’re only about a half-mile away, so just hang on for a few more minutes and we’ll be there.” Sam and Eli had left the suburbs of New Liberty 3 days prior, after a town meeting at the local high school.  Eli introduced the citizens to the idea of a planet-wide resistance movement against the Drekon occupation.  Sam spent most of the 3 days pumping Eli for more information about the mysterious “J”, leader of the resistance.  Sam was 99% sure that “J” was really old crazy Jeremiah from the street corner, but Eli was not forthcoming with any information.  That was very frustrating for Sam, almost as frustrating as the blindfold he’d been made to wear since breakfast.  It was hot out here – wherever “here” was.  Sam thought he could smell the ocean, maybe they were near the coast?…

The launch of our first speed server is imminent, but before we announce the launch date we need to come up with a name for it. Help us choose a name for the first speed server of Astro Empires and be eligable to win a free 3 months upgrade! As with the normal servers, speed servers will be named alphabetically. So the first speed server will start with the letter "A". We were out on the edge of the DarkStart23 empire, a border riding member of the Impalers Alliance. Not a single one of the three of us crewing the D.S.S. Jawz were in good spirits. While not the oldest of ships, our recycler was not exactly running grand. It was in fact a quilt of patch-up jobs and emergency repairs. In the early years of 5057 there was an empire that was based in the nork nebula sector on a planet called Shanlan. They were just discovering galatacial travel with a machine called a jump gate, This Jump Gate allowed sudden transportation to other galaxy’s. Other empires heard of this machine and couldn’t believe what they were hearing some sent scouts out to see this machine for themselves and once they saw it they had to have it so they started making purchases of this machine but the Golahn federation didn’t quite approve of this machine. You see at the time the Golahn federation (T.G.F) controlled most of the universe. They really didn’t want this machine to even exist... They knew what this could mean for their Federation’s security, an attack on one of their territories could happen in a blink of an eye and they wouldn’t know what hit them. And not to mention sense the Shanlan empire made this machine they were growing there economy on an unimaginable rate.…
